چکیده

This research presents an experimental study of the effect UV-B radiation (7.5 Wm−2) on change total concentration chlorophyll ΔChl and energy that a plant can store during process photosynthesis. The aim was to investigate spectral lines five genetically different corn hybrids find with better resistance. Chlorophyll fluorescence from leaves used as method. plants were exposed for 19 days. following results obtained: a) there is significant variation between regarding radiation, b) indicative element in functioning photosynthetic apparatus represented variations relative composition pigments, c) regardless what may be cause plant's ability deposit part absorbed primary products photosynthesis, it has been shown two out investigated show great resistance d) photosynthesis measure harmful radiation.

Effect of Different Herbicides and Salicylic Acid Treatment on the Photosynthetic Efficiency of Corn Cultivars Using Chlorophyll a Fluorescence Transient Curve Analysis

Photosynthesis is an essential part of the plant function and metabolism and a number of herbicides inhibit certain photosynthetic activities. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of some herbicides including Topik, Titos, Equip, Mister, Lumax, Bromicide and Oltima on the photosynthetic efficiency of three corn cultivars (CC-260, 400, 704) in response to salicylic acid (SA) treatmen...

Chlorophyll a + b Content and Chlorophyll Fluorescence in Avocado

Tonnage (T), Simmonds (S) avocado trees, and TxS crosses were evaluated for differences in chlorophyll content and maximal quantum yield of photosystem II in sun and shade-type leaves. Total chlorophyll content by area (Chl a+bar) ranged from 984 mg m in TxS240 to 4320 mg m in Simmonds. Chlorophyll a/b ratio (Chl a/b) ranged from 9.8 to 5.5 in TxS238 and TxS243, respectively. Tonnage and Simmon...

Effect of UV-B radiation on photosynthetic pigments and UV-absorbing compounds of three different soybean cultivars (Glycine max L.).

The effects of UV-B radiation on the amount of chlorophyll a, b, carotenoids, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and polyphenols of three soybean cultivars was studied. After germination in the incubator, plants were put in pots of soil and during 3 weeks and irrigated with Hoagland solution every day. After 3 weeks, plants were exposed to UV-B for 20 min every day for a week. In each cultivar, UV-B red...

Evaluation of Chlorophyll Content and Chlorophyll Fluorescence Parameters and Relationships between Chlorophyll a, b and Chlorophyll Content Index under Water Stress in Olea europaea cv. Dezful

This study was conducted to determine effect of water stress on chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameter in young `Dezful’ olive trees. Three irrigation regimes (40% ETcrop, 65% ETcrop and 100% ETcrop) were used. After irrigation treatments were applied, some of biochemical parameters including chlorophyll a, b, total chlorophyll, chlorophyll fluorescence and also chlorophyll ...
